To the Miami County Amateur Radio Club web site. We serve Peru, Indiana and the surrounding area with amateur radio communications. This organization is growing in membership, and broadening the horizon of ham radio activities in North-Central Indiana.
See our Radio License Course page for information on obtaining a ham radio license.
Our membership is active in supporting local events, with a focal point of emergency communications should any emergency occur. We provide communications for the National Weather Service during storms that may threaten life and property.
Through a system of VHF and UHF repeaters and the HF network we can use a variety of voice, text, image, and data communications modes that enable communication across our city, region, country, continent, the world, or even into space.
Many people start their involvement in ham radio through a local club. Our club provides information about licensing, local operating practices, and technical advice. We enjoy helping newcomers learn what it takes to become an active amateur radio operator.
Our regular Cub meetings are Monthly on the 2nd Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Parkview United Methodist Church, 1785 S. SR 19, Peru.
