The purpose of Winter Field Day is to promote preparedness for emergency communications.

It is important to hone operator skills during adverse conditions as disasters often occur without warning.

Operating in adverse conditions is neither comfortable nor convenient.

Winter Field Day 2019 will be held over the weekend of January 26-27th.

The object is to set up a temporary station and make as many contacts as possible within a defined period of time.

Participation in this event is a must for new hams wishing to operate on HF bands.

Details on our involvement with Winter Field Day will be announced after gauging interest among the membership.
